The Pinkerton National Detective Agency were a private law enforcement agency established in 1850 by Alfred Pinkerton. They were hired to find outlaws and bring them to justice, including the Reno Gang. The Pinkertons were hired to catch the Reno Gang by the owners of the first safe that the gang robbed.
