Charles Goodnight was a cattle rancher who established the Goodnight-Loving Trail with Oliver Loving.

Goodnight drove cattle from Texas to Wyoming, as they could get four times the amount of money when they sold them there. He continued after Loving's death, and drove cattle to Colorado too.

How successful was Charles Goodnight?

Goodnight was so successful that, by 1876, he was able to grow his ranch to over 1 million acres.
