  • Dictatorship of the proletariat.

China was similar to Russia in terms of politics and economy. It was believed China could mirror and recreate a similar revolution to the Russian Revolution of 1917.

Chen Duxiu became the group's first general secretary, with Mao Zedong appointed to the leadership.
Who influenced the Chinese Communist Party?
Bolshevik influencers suggested the CCP join forces with the GMD, as they were both ideologically similar and the CCP was too small to lead a revolution alone. As the CCP was funded by the Bolsheviks, the leadership agreed and merged as a sub-group of the GMD.
